What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis has been described as a heightened state of awareness and a natural state of mind characterised by an extraordinary quality of relaxation.
Can I be made to do something against my will?
NO. You cannot be made to do anything against your will when you are in a state of hypnosis. You are always in complete control and if you disagree with anything that is suggested you can open your eyes and walk out of the room any time you like.
What about stage hypnosis?
The people you see on stage during stage hypnosis are there because of their own free will and they often have a deep rooted desire to perform.
Are there different states of hypnosis?
Yes. When you go into a trance the depth of this trance that you experience can vary from a light state to a deep state referred to as somnambulism. Therapeutic effects occur even when you are in a very light trance. We all go in and out of trance naturally every day, several times a day.
Are there different types of hypnosis?
Hypnoanalysis and suggestion therapy are used intermittently depending on the presenting issue. Hypnoanalysis examines the cause of the problem and once uncovered very often symptoms disappear.
During suggestion therapy you do not have to say anything.
Remember!
There is nothing mystical or untoward about hypnosis and/or hypnotherapy and there are hundreds of benefits to be gained from this amazing process.
Is it guaranteed?
It is not possible to guarantee human behaviour. Once you follow your hypnotist’s instructions your chance of success is very high. Make sure you are in a relaxed state when you turn up for your appointment and ask questions if there is something you don’t understand.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Yes we do. We operate a strict cancellation policy.
Where cancellation notice is more than 48 hours ahead of scheduled appointment no charge will apply. Less than 48 hours cancellation will incur the full fee. This policy is in place to ensure that we can facilitate clients at a time which suits them, to respect clinic time and assure respect for our therapists.

When You Stop Smoking
Within 20 minutes of the last cigarette:
Blood pressure adjusts to normal levels, pulse rate and body temperature adjust to normal levels
8 Hours:
Carbon monoxide level drops to normal, oxygen level in blood increases to normal.
24 Hours:
Significant reduction in chance of a heart attack
48 Hours:
Nerve endings start to re grow, the ability to smell and taste improves.
72 Hours:
Lung capacity begins to increase.
2 Weeks to 3 Months:
Circulation in the body improves, walking becomes easier, lung function increases up to 30%.
1 to 9 Months:
Incidence of coughing, fatigue, shortness of breath decreases. Cilia re grows in the lungs, increasing ability to handle mucous, clean the lungs and reduce infection.
5 Years:
Lung cancer death rate for average smoker (one pack per day), decreases from 137 per 100,000 people to 72 per 100,000 people. After 10 years, rate drops to 12 deaths per 100,000 or almost the rate of a person who never smoked.
10 Years:
Pre-cancerous cilia are replaced. Other cancer such as those of the mouth, larynx, oesophagus, bladder, kidney and pancreas decreases.
All of these benefits are lost if just one cigarette a day is smoked!
